looking at the sequence here, to get from one number to the next, you have to add 9

so in equation form, where y is the first number and x is the following number:

x = y + 9

You visually see that it is an arithmetic sequence, so you can use the general equation: a(n) = a1 + (n-1)d

Where "n" is the number of the term, "a1" is the first term, and "d" is the common difference.

So the equation is:  a(n) = -8 + 9(n-1)
